PROJECT INFO

PATH Online 2.0 is a visual + performing arts experience offered online. It provides a safe space to create socially responsive content rooted in the elements of Hip Hop – DJ/Music production, Rap /Songwriting /Recording, Bboy /Bgirl /Hip Hop Dance, Urban Art /Graffiti Art and Digital Storytelling. Be a part of remixing OURstory by connecting the past and the present inspired by archival works from The Library of Congress. 

This 6-week course introduces techniques and coaching in the 4 main artistic elements of Hip Hop. Sessions are led by an all-star team of industry professionals with support from emerging artists.

Orientation: August 9, 2020 @ 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Session Dates: August 11 – September 20, 2020
Tech Week: September 22 & 27, 2020 (Rehearsal schedule TBA)
Online Closing Event: September 29, 2020 @ 8:00 pm

TUESDAYS
5 – 6 pm I DJ/Music Production w/ The Brass King + Vice Dali
7 – 8 pm I Urban/Graffiti Art w/ Krave + Brooklyn

THURSDAYS
5 – 6 pm I Funk Styles w/ NONMS + Aminah
7 – 8 pm I MC/Songwriting w/ Mike G + Kyriq

SUNDAYS
4 – 5 pm I Digital Storytelling w/ George Mercado + Kayla

THE COMMITMENT
+ Attend at least two element courses for 6 consecutive sessions
+ Create content that reflects the culture and values of PATH
+ Complete and submit all projects on time
+ Work cooperatively and supportively with everyone in this project
+ Offer honest, respectful feedback through weekly evaluations
+ Showcase/exhibit your work via an online platform
