WHO SHOULD APPLY?
We’re looking for talented artists ages 14 – 18 who have drive, discipline, live to create and have a creative purpose. You should already be actively involved in producing work and have the desire to take your practice to the next level. Although we love and support ALL artists, this experience is for emerging artists with intermediate to advanced artistic ability.
Disciplines
Music Production / DJ
Rapping / Songwriting / Recording
Dancing / Choreography
Visual Art / Photography / Graffiti
WHAT EXACTLY IS IT?
It’s a time to get away from your usual environment for some fresh inspiration, collaboration with peers and focus on developing your work – all in a creative space. Under the mentorship of a professional working artist, you’ll spend 4 days (+ 4 additional days) creating or perfecting a piece (or two :)) that you’ll present publicly at a showcase on March 25. You’ll also work on a commercial project (great for your portfolio) with a mentor. You’ll meet industry professionals who’ll share tips and advice to take your creativity to the next level. Never been to the PAMM (Perez Art Museum)? We’ll take a trip to one of the country’s newest contemporary art museums in downtown Miami.
WHEN IS IT GOIN’ DOWN?
This experience will deepen your talent and professional skills over a 3 month period (Jan – Mar 2018).
