– 7:00 pm: Silent art auction; photography/art exhibit; Light hors d’oeuvres
– 7:30 pm: Book release for “Two Decades of Rap: The Lyrics of Brimstone127,” a book by PATH founder, Seth “Brimstone” Schere (FREE)
– 8:30 pm: Hip Hop Element Exhibition “Battles” (DJ, MC, Bboy , Urban Art and Photography)
– 10:00 pm: $200 1-on-1 Bboy/Bgirl Battle hosted by Bboy NewCrew

TICKETS: $10 general admission, $5 for students

On March 9, PATH, Inc. will host battles that may change lives this year. DJ’s, MC’s, Bboys, Urban Artists and Photographers will go round for round to raise funds for PATH programs throughout South Florida and the West Indies.
Generous auction items from local businesses and organizations include: A family membership from MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), a happy hour package from Game Time, a semester of DJ classes at Scratch Academy, a gift basket from KIND snacks and a $100 gift certificate at SouthStreet (Neo-Soul Food Restaurant & Bar).
Hiphop battles have inspired artists to innovate for decades; from Kool Moe Dee and Busy Bee’s face off in 1981 to the East Coast vs. West Coast rivalry that has fueled Hiphop for decades.
The list of artists include: Beha, Immortal and Epps (DJ); Garcia, Sekajipo and Mecca aka Grimo (MC); RAW Miami Crew and No Bodies Crew (Bboy); Atomik, Marle and TREK6 (Urban Art); and Lizzie Easton-Montes, George Mercado, Jacob Schere and Lauren Webb-Harris (Photographers). Excerpts from Seth “Brimstone” Schere’s book “Two Decades of Rap: The Lyrics of Brimstone127 will be read by Marlon Hill, Carlene Sawyer, Rabbi Tom Heyn, Jose Rodriguez and Leslie Schere.
