We witness BEEF everyday between pop sensations like Taylor vs. Katy, rap icons like Chris vs. Soulja, housewives or opposing United States political parties. These petty disagreements play out on a national stage, clog our social media feeds and serve as a model for behavior that spill into our schools.  Now, we understand that disagreements are inevitable and a natural part of life, but how do you handle it when it comes your way? Because it will.

We invited Dr. James Peterson, one of the nation’s leading scholars on the cultural and educational potential of hip hop to help us navigate these dramatic pitfalls that sometimes cause us unnecessary growing pains as young people and often costs us our friends. We wanted to ask this knowledgeable speaker on youth, politics, hip hop and pop culture …
